Nada Engl-Nikolic - Piano

Nada is originally from Belgrade, Yugoslavia and came to Canada in 1993. She graduated from the Mokranjac Music school of Belgrade as the top student for her year. She has a music degree from Belgrade university where she received all grades in the upper nineties. She has received numerous awards in her own piano career. Many of her students have progressed into university studies at the graduate level. She was a highly skilled teacher for over twenty years in Belgrade. Many of her students won provincial and regional awards in the competitions that she placed them in. Many of her students credit her with their great successes and careers.

Since in Canada, she teaches for Carswell Studios and a number of her own clients. She is truly a dedicated teacher often adding extra time to students preparing for examinations and scholarships. She has a fine instinct for interpretation and works carefully at detail with her students. It is rare, in this environment, to find a teacher who whilst making lessons enjoyable, strives for a very high level of excellence. Nada 's students have competed in the Scarborough Music Festival, Toronto Kiwanis, and the Davenport festival and have achieved numerous awards. One of Nada's students, Ana Vasic won the Carswell piano scholarship for two consecutive years. Another student, Jelina Cingara is currently in the performance programme at the Faculty of Music, University of Toronto. Nada also involves her students in many duets with other students, and herself. The art of ensemble and piano chamber music is vanishing, but alas, is alive and well at our school!!
